DCC Decoder gibt es in verschiedenen Ausführungen. So besteht die Möglichkeit bei vielen Decodern zwischen 14 und 28 Fahrstufen umzuschalten. Diese Umschaltung wird über Bit 1 der Konfigurationsvariable 29 gesteuert. Das ist nur ein Beispiel von vielen. Um Speicherplatz zu sparen fassen die Decoder Hersteller einzelne "EIN/AUS" Informationen in einer Gruppe zusammen. Bis zu 8 solche einzelnen Informationen lassen sich in einer CV speichern.
Das Unangenehme ist, daß die meisten Menschen das Zehner Zahlensystem gewohnt sind. Sichtbarkeit der Einzelnen EIN/AUS Bedeutungen ist aber im 2'er System leichter und klarer zu verstehen. Man muß also hin und her umrechnen. Dazu gibt es verschiedenste Hilfsmittel Wie mein WEB Tool am ATW oder den Windows Rechner wenn man ihn in den Programmierer Modus schaltet. Unfortunately most humans are used to the
decade system. The visibility of the single on/off information in
the binary system is much simpler to identify. It is necessary to do
some math to get from one system to the other. There is a handy WEB
